In 1974 Eden traveled to Japan, purchased a shipment of aduki beans, and shipped them down the St. Lawrence River to Michigan. They were distributed as seed to Eden growers, initiating the Western Hemisphere cultivation of aduki. They are delicious in soups, dips, spreads, and desserts, great with winter squash, sweet corn, and other sweet vegetables, perfect with whole grain, especially brown rice. No salt added.
